From the 1,030 kW Zeekr 8X super-hybrid flagship to Volvo’s 800V EX60 and the 925 HP Lotus FOR ME, Geely Group is launching the most ambitious product offensive in its history. Geely Group’s 2026 flagship: the Zeekr 8X super-hybrid performance SUV with 1,400 HP, dual-chamber air suspension, and a 2.96-second 0-100 km/h sprint.
Geely’s 2026 product and volume ambition is based on market coverage of Geely’s 2025 sales beat and 2026 NEV target, with company and regional auto-market reporting used for cross-checks.
Zeekr 8X: A 1,400 HP Super-Hybrid Statement
The Zeekr 8X is the crown jewel of Geely Group’s 2026 product offensive. Positioned as a “super-hybrid high-performance flagship SUV” with pricing in the 400,000 RMB range, the 8X delivers specifications that rival vehicles costing twice as much. The range-topping tri-motor variant produces a combined 1,030 kW (1,400 horsepower), propelling the 5,108 mm, 3,069 mm wheelbase SUV from 0-100 km/h in just 2.96 seconds. All variants come standard with electric all-wheel drive, dual-chamber air suspension, CDC electromagnetic damping, and 48V active anti-roll bars. The 8X completes a carefully orchestrated product hierarchy within the Zeekr brand. The 7X serves as the volume mid-size SUV, the 9X caters to business-executive luxury buyers (earning the nickname “Hangzhou Bay Cullinan”), and the 8X occupies the performance-luxury sweet spot between them. The vehicle’s technology suite is equally impressive, offering up to five LiDAR sensors in the H9 ADAS configuration, dual Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 cockpit chips, a 16-inch central display with optional 16-inch passenger entertainment screen, and 29-speaker premium audio. With 247 service centers across 29 provinces and a 6-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty with lifetime battery coverage, the ownership proposition matches the product ambition.
Five Brands, One Strategy: The Full Portfolio
Geely Group’s 2026 model blitz spans five distinct brands, each targeting a specific market segment. The Zeekr brand focuses on 300,000+ RMB premium vehicles, adding the 8X, a plug-in hybrid version of the 009 MPV with 1,000+ km combined range, and refreshed 007/007 GT sedans with NVIDIA Thor-U chips and 900V architecture. Lynk & Co, targeting the 200,000+ RMB “mainstream premium” segment, introduces the Lynk 800 (SPA EVO architecture, three-motor E-MP plug-in hybrid), a 07 EM-P wagon variant, and a comprehensively upgraded 900. The Geely Galaxy volume brand is the most prolific, launching the M7 compact SUV (1,730 km combined range, ~100,000 RMB starting price), Xingyao 7 mid-size sedan (under 100,000 RMB), Xingyao 8 pure-electric version (600-690 km range), the radically styled Yinhe Zhanjian (Battleship) hardcore SUV with crab-walk and tank-turn capability (280,000-380,000 RMB), and the V900 extended-range MPV already on sale from 269,800 RMB. The China Star series adds the Boyue REV extended-range SUV with 1,525 km combined range and a 375 km pure-electric range. The recently consolidated Geely brand portfolio — the result of merging Galaxy, Geometry, Zeekr, and Lynk & Co under unified management — has created an organization capable of launching 17 new or significantly updated models in a single year.
Volvo’s Electric Transition and the Lotus Wildcard
Geely’s global ambitions are most visible through Volvo and Lotus. Volvo is executing a full electrification of its lineup under Geely ownership. The EX60 (SPA3 platform, 800V architecture, 10-minute fast charge for 340 km, 700+ km range, up to 670 HP) replaces the XC60 as the brand’s volume leader. The ES60 fills the mid-size electric sedan gap, while the large EX90 and ES90 (up to 740 km range, 3.9 seconds 0-100 for the high-performance variant) sit at the top of the range. All four are built on dedicated EV platforms, representing Volvo’s most decisive step away from internal combustion. The Lotus FOR ME plug-in hybrid high-performance SUV represents perhaps the most audacious product in Geely’s 2026 portfolio. With a 2.0T engine and dual electric motors delivering 925 HP and a 3.3-second 0-100 km/h time — actually faster than the range-topping all-electric Eletre — the FOR ME demonstrates that plug-in hybrid technology can deliver uncompromised performance. The 900V platform supports 6C ultra-fast charging (30-80% in 8 minutes), the 70 kWh battery delivers 420 km of pure-electric range, and combined range exceeds 1,000 km. With its dual-chamber dual-valve air suspension, CCD adaptive damping, and active anti-roll bars, the FOR ME completes Geely’s remarkable demonstration that Chinese-owned brands can compete — and win — at every level of the global automotive market, from 90,000 RMB family cars to million-RMB performance SUVs.
