Leapmotor Opens Pre-Orders for Updated C10, C11, C16 SUVs Ahead of June 16 Launch

Leapmotor opened pre-orders on June 8 for comprehensively updated versions of its three best-selling SUVs — the C10, C11, and C16 — with a formal launch set for June 16. The refresh brings 800V architecture to all pure-electric variants, standard LiDAR across the lineup, and Qualcomm’s latest cockpit and autonomous-driving chips.

Per the company announcement, pre-order deposits are set at 1,000 yuan (approximately $147), with exclusive pre-sale benefits. Final pricing has not been disclosed, though current-generation models start at 122,800 yuan for the C10, 149,800 yuan for the C11, and 151,800 yuan for the C16. The three SUVs accounted for 78,297 deliveries — 43% of Leapmotor’s total — in January-April 2026.

Technical Upgrades

The most significant upgrade is the shift to an 800V high-voltage platform on all pure-electric variants. Combined with a 230 kW electric motor, the updated C-series achieves a maximum CLTC range of 660 km. Extended-range versions receive a 200 kW motor upgrade and 3C fast-charging, with pure-electric range reaching 300 km.

All three models now ship with a high-precision LiDAR sensor paired with Qualcomm Snapdragon Ride 8650, enabling point-to-point Navigate-on-Autopilot. The cockpit features Qualcomm 8295P driving a 17.3-inch central display, with dual zero-gravity front seats offering ventilation, heating, and massage. The C11 gains frameless doors and four-piston front brake calipers.

AI Battery Safety

Leapmotor introduced an AI-powered battery management system claiming no fire for 48 hours after thermal runaway detection, monitoring cell-level voltage, temperature, and internal resistance with predictive algorithms. This addresses a top consumer concern in China’s EV market.

Growth Trajectory

The update arrives with Leapmotor delivering 81,569 vehicles in May — an 81% year-over-year increase and the highest among Chinese EV startups. January-May cumulative deliveries exceeded 260,000 units toward a 1 million full-year target. Separately, Stellantis began Leapmotor C10 local assembly in Malaysia, while Leapmotor insiders boosted their stake by HK$490 million in the sixth purchase in two years.
